We had two wonderful trips to Italy this year. In June we went to the Cinque Terra with the Fronkies. It was beautiful and such a great trip. We ate great local food and drank gorgeous local wines. We swam in the sea and walked along the cliff paths. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
Then we headed to Tuscany for a long week end as a treat from Lee for my birthday. We stayed in a few gorgeous places and the highlight was the Andrea Bocelli concert at his open air theatre near his home town of Lajatico. It was unbelievable and really a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We cruised round the countryside in a convertible and got lost in the Tuscan woodlands. We also met up with Dave and Hayles in Sienna which was a treat as it’s been 2 years since we saw them.
It was amazing- highly recommended to anyone.
